Remove a company or your data from getLeads
Version 2026-10-29-draft · Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Draft, not in force. This page has not been reviewed by an advocate yet and is not legal advice. Items in [BRACKETS] are details still to be filled in.
Not built yet
- There is no request form yet: ask by email.
- The suppression list that keeps a removed company out is not built yet.
What we hold
getLeads lists businesses, not people. A company record can include: company name, website, category, business location, an optional company page link (such as LinkedIn) where one is found, the results of our website checks, and the date of each check. We exclude sole traders and do not sell named employees, directors, personal emails or mobile numbers. Our sources are listed on Data sources.
What you can ask for
- Remove a company record from getLeads.
- Suppress it so it is never added back (we keep only the domain and/or registry number on a suppression list for this).
- Correct a field that is wrong.
- Remove personal data — if any record contains information about you as a person (for example, your name, or a personal email or phone), ask us to delete it and to stop using it. We always honour objections to direct marketing.
- Access — ask what we hold about you or your company.
How to ask
Email [PRIVACY EMAIL] (no account needed) with:
- The company name
- The company website or registry number
- What you want: remove and suppress, correct a field, delete personal data about you, or tell you what we hold
- Details, if any (which field, what's wrong)
- That you work for or represent the company, or that the data is about you
If you found the company in a getLeads export, its row has a removal link with a reference. Include that reference in your email.
What happens next
- We confirm we received it by email.
- We may ask for a quick check that you are linked to the company or the person (for example, a reply from an email at the company's domain).
- We act within 10 business days. Suppressed companies are taken out of search and blocked at unlock straight away once processed.
- Buyers who already exported the record are responsible for their own copies. We tell them the record was removed in their next export, and our Terms require them to honour removal requests.
- If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (www.odpc.go.ke) or, in the EU/UK, your data-protection authority.
