getLeads

Data sources and licences

Version 2026-10-29-draft · Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Draft, not in force. This page has not been reviewed by an advocate yet and is not legal advice. Items in [BRACKETS] are details still to be filled in.

getLeads sells company-level information, not profiles of people. This page lists the sources that feed the lead engine today, the open datasets we plan to add, and what every export carries.

Sources in use today

SourceWhat we use it forTerms
AI model (Google Gemini)Suggests companies that may fit your buyer profile, the role to approach and an opening lineAI output. Treat it as a suggestion: every company it suggests goes through the checks below, and AI-written text is not checked
Each company's own websiteChecks that the site is live, has valid HTTPS, is not parked or for sale, and names the companyThe company's own published facts. We read public pages only
Public web search resultsFinds or confirms a company's website, and an optional company page link, when the suggestion has noneSearch result snippets and links, used to check a lead
ExchangeRate-APICurrency rates for display prices (not lead data)Free plan terms; "Rates By Exchange Rate API" link in the footer

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is not a data source and not a required check. A lead without a LinkedIn page can still be delivered, and it is not a failed lead. Where we find a company's LinkedIn page, for example linked from the company's own website, we may show the link as an optional signal. We don't fetch LinkedIn pages.

[CHECK BEFORE PUBLISHING: the round-4 lead checks still open LinkedIn company pages. Switch that off in the lead engine before this sentence goes live.]

Planned open datasets (not live yet)

We plan to build leads from open, licensed datasets. None of these feed getLeads yet. Each one is listed here, with its notice, before it is switched on.

What every export carries

CSV, JSON and Google Sheets exports carry:

  1. An attribution line: "Lead suggestions are written by an AI model and checked against each company's own website and public web search results."
  2. Per row: the source, the licence (your own outreach under our Terms, no resale) and the date.
  3. A removal link per company: [SITE DOMAIN]/remove-my-data?ref=[LEAD ID].
  4. A buyer warning: "You are the sender. Check email-marketing law before contacting these companies. Germany, South Africa and Nigeria need prior consent." See Email compliance.

When an open dataset above goes live, its licence notice is added to every export.

Accuracy

Web data can be out of date, and AI suggestions can be wrong. We check each lead again when you unlock it, and you don't pay for a lead that fails. See the Refund & Credit Policy.
